I started Burbank Appliance Repair out of my garage on Glenoaks Boulevard in 1999 with a used van and a toolbox. I’d been fixing appliances since I was a teenager — my dad was a building superintendent in North Hollywood, and I grew up watching him keep every unit in the building running. By the time I was 16, tenants were calling me directly.

After a few years working for one of the big warranty companies, I realized something: they didn’t care about the customer. They cared about closing tickets. I kept getting sent to the same houses for the same problems because nobody was taking the time to fix things right the first time.

So I went out on my own. The first year was just me and my wife handling the phones. Now we have a team of eight technicians — most of whom have been with us for over a decade. My son Daniel started riding along on calls when he was twelve. He’s now a certified tech and handles most of our Samsung and LG work.

We’ve fixed over 47,000 appliances in Burbank and the surrounding area. We still answer our own phones. We still show up on time. And if we can’t fix it, we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth repairing or if you’re better off replacing it.
